Healthy Leaves has worked with Insulin Plant (Costus igneus) for more than seven years. After seeing inconsistent quality in imported leaf powder, we imported live Insulin Plant plants from India about five years ago and started growing them on our farm near Nelspruit, Mpumalanga.

Today, we harvest, dry and mill the leaves in our own facility. The powder then goes to a pharmaceutical company for testing and packaging. This gives us greater control over the raw material's origin and consistency.
